Don stayed home a day this week to help me out with some things. He took advantage of his time off by agreeing to be a "Mystery Reader" in Sunshine's classroom. We sent in three clues about him via email to Mrs. M, who read them to the children after lunch. After the third clue, Mrs. M reported that Sunshine shouted, "My daddy speaks Spanish and LOVES the Cowboys!" and started jumping up and down.
Don picked out his three favorite books to read to the kiddos at home and headed off to the class:
If You Give a Pig a Pancake - which Don loves because of the photos and our kids have memorized.
Tomatoes from Mars - which Don loves because he's made up hilarious voices for all of the characters
Hooway for Wodney Wat - which we all love because poor Wodney's lisp saves the rodent class from an evil and torturous capybara and he becomes a hero. This book is superb and I hardly ever see it anywhere. If you do come across it, buy it. Priceless.
