Confession #2

For Faye's list to give CPS when she calls...

We sleep train our kids.

We start sleep training them when they're newborns.

We're very consistent about our sleep routines and have never let up.

We sleep train for naps and at nighttime.

When they're babies, they are trained to fall asleep by being nursed.

Once they're not nursing anymore, we train them to sleep by rocking them or cuddling with them.

When they're too old for that (around 2 1/2), we just sing to them until the close their eyes.

When they're sleeping in their crib, we train them to wake us up by crying and we go to get them.

Once they're in their own rooms, we train them to come into our room when they wake up at night and want attention.

The training is going quite well. Sunshine graduated with full marks when she was about four. The Little Master is well on his way. Pocket is still early in her training cycle. We have high hopes for her though.

  1. Wow! Your sleep training sounds about like ours!!:) I long for the days of getting like 8 solid hours of sleep...hasn't happened in years:) One day soon hopefully...with all this sleep training, I estimate the babies should be sleeping through the night by their 10th birthday:)
