Each month, our Girl Scout Service Unit sponsors a "Service Project of the Month." Sunshine's service project last month was to collect at least 2 large garbags bags of clothing or bedding for the Goodwill. After one fateful email to my church group's listserv, we ended up picking up TWENTY-TWO bags from people to take home, sort, put back in the car, and then deliver to the donation center.
I'm grateful for the chance the children have to learn about service early on and for neighbors who like to get rid of things =)
i thought that was dad in that photo. mom told me it wasn't by saying, 'not every black man is your father.' ha.
