A few weekends ago, a 6th Grade GS troop hosted an Environmental Science event all about water. Sunshine and two of her cohorts attended.
They learned...
about the types of plants around a local pond

why the water has to stay a certain temperature to maintain animal and plant life

how litter affects the ecosystem

about animal life in and around the pond

and the steps the local municipal takes to purify water from resevoirs.

They had water themed snacks - blue jello with gummie fish and watermelon, and finished off the day using water color paints.
You are such a good mom. Seriously ... Your kids have such amazing experiences and are so smart ... because of YOU! Letting them experience everything is a priority to you, and it inspires me. Thanks for the reminders!!!
ReplyDeletethose braids are so perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day. The girls are very lucky to experience so many different things. It will certainly help them no what they don't like and then they will pursue what they enjoy.
